Spice Grinder Black, Beech

The gear of the mill is made in high-tech ceramic. A clean, inactive, natural material that is ideal for grinding salt, spices and dried herbs.

When a spice or herb is dried, it still contains the essential oils that carry its flavor and freshness. However when spice or herb is stored as a ground powder, these oils gradually evaporates and in a short time it become a pale, weak version of the original spice or herb.

By grinding spices and herbs just before use you release the essential oils and gets the best flavor and taste.

Iris Hantverk is a brand of tradition, built around the Swedish traditions of the late 19th century. Still a small company based in Stockholm, all products are made by hand, using traditional technique, by visually impaired craftsmen.

Our Vision is to revive the traditional brush binding profession. By making functional products with good design combined with the quality of natural materials and the craftsmen’s solid technique.
